Jillian Duhon Franklin, O.D. is a Board-licensed comprehensive optometrist. Dr. Franklin offers a range of services including comprehensive eye exams with prescriptions for glasses and contact lenses, and treatment of various ocular conditions such as macular degeneration, glaucoma, and diabetic eye disease among others.
She earned her Doctor of Optometry at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN after attending the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where she received an undergraduate degree in Biology. She is an active member of Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society, the Optometric Association of Louisiana and the American Optometry Association
As Jennings native, she is very thankful to be in her hometown serving the community that gave so much to her.
Janet joined the Acadian Eye Care family in 2024. Janet specializes in fitting eyeglasses for patients based off of the prescription provided by Dr. Franklin. She assists customers in selecting frames, taking precise eye measurements, and ensuring the eyewear fits properly. She also performs all in house lens edging and mounting. Janet has over 30 years experience in this industry.
Kandice joined the Acadian Eye Care and Optical team in 2023. She works as an Optometric Technician and Scribe. Kandice is responsible for patient work-ups, acquiring case histories, as well as performing advanced optical testing.
Kalana has been working at Acadian Eye Care and Optical since 2000 gaining optical and clinical experience. She manages patient contact lens and medication prescriptions. She ensures Dr. Franklin’s patient care plans are communicated clearly to all staff members.
Meredith will greet you with a warm smile and friendly conversation as you walk through our doors. She has over 10 years of optometric experience and helps our office run smoothly by collecting accurate patient data and filing insurance claims.
